We agree on composition and background, then the 50% deposit starts the painting.
Painted in oils, layer by layer. You get a photo update at the sketch stage, while changes are still easy.
Dried and varnished, then shipped insured in a tube once you approve the final photo and pay the balance.

First kind: handmade solid-wood stretcher bars, heavy duty, thick canvas, 2-inch deep bars — very heavy.
Second kind: commercially pre-made canvas — light, and easy on your wall.
For very large paintings we ship the canvas rolled; your local framing shop stretches it onto the stretcher bars, and adds a frame if you like.
A clear, original photo with faces reasonably large, in natural light. Phone photos are fine — send a few favourites and we will help you pick, free.
Yes. We can simplify or replace a messy background, remove distractions, and warm up colours. Tell us what you dream of; we will say plainly what is possible.
Absolutely — the whole family, plus pets, in one painting. For Winnipeg families, we can come to your home to take the photo.
Yes — drawn and painted in oils on canvas by our artist himself, in our Winnipeg studio. No printing, no paint-overs. The whole painting process is recorded on video.
The clearer the photo, the more room the painter has to work with. We try not to change your photo; if anything needs adjusting, we will discuss it with you first. We can show you a small sample first, and you decide on the final painting after seeing it.
Decide where it will hang and how big the wall is. Send us the wall size and your photo, and we will help you choose — size and shipping questions can all be discussed with us directly.
A large stretched canvas travels badly and costs a lot to ship, so very large paintings ship as rolled canvas only — take it to a local professional framing shop to have it stretched onto stretcher bars; they do this routinely.
